PhD student in Marine Science, Technology and Management at Campus do Mar, University of Santiago de Compostela (2021), Diploma in University Education (2018), MSc in Environmental Management by Universidad Católica del Norte (2011), Industrial Engineer by Universidad de Antofagasta (2001).
Since 2009 he is assistant professor and researcher at the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Universidad Católica del Norte. In education, he teaches economics and management of marine resources and has developed methodological innovations and technology for university education. In research, he has directed and/or participated as a researcher in R&D projects and technology adoption, focusing on coastal communities dedicated to small-scale fisheries and aquaculture.
Research lines address transformational changes in socio-ecological systems focused on small-scale fisheries and aquaculture | sustainable aquaculture development | economics and management in aquaculture | management and/or governance issues relevant to sustainable development and public policy in coastal and marine issues. I am also interested in developing technologies and methodological innovations for teaching economics and management.
