Eloy Martínez Vidal

I am Eloy Martínez, current second-year student of the Master in Sustainable Fisheries Management at the University of Alicante. Committed and motivated with the improvement of the fishing sector, as well as its biological implication. Enthusiastic about the study and specialization in fishing management, respecting tradition and culture to achieve sustainability.

I studied a degree in marine sciences at the University of Alicante, focusing my final year project on the estimation of recreational fishing and comparison with professional fishing in Moraira (Alicante). In addition, I have been part of the group of scientific observers in the ICCAT bluefin tuna program embarking on fishing vessels engaged in purse seine fishing for the species Thunnus thynnus.

I am currently doing a master’s internship at the University of Santiago de Compostela, collaborating with Pablo Pita on a project dedicated to learning about the general framework of the situation of fishing both professionally and recreationally on polychaetes, generally used as bait.
