About This Project

Sustainability Toolkit for Cephalopod Fisheries (Cephs and Chefs project)

Roumbedakis, K. et. al (2020).

The Sustainability Toolkit for Cephalopod Fisheries was developed in the framework of Cephs and Chefs project, in order to engage cephalopod fishery and value chain stakeholders who are seeking (or already) following a pathway to sustainability. Our main aim is to provide information for stakeholders in the fishing industry and value chain, as well as for scientists, managers, regulatory authorities and governments, in the form of a simple, step-by-step, guide to how cephalopod fisheries can enter a Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) and achieve the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification.
