The general objective of the project is to conduct a supply chain mapping and analysis exercise for the octopus fishery in five coastal communities in Kenya – Lamu, Tana River, Kilifi, Mombasa/Malindi and Kwale. The information collected will be used to help improve management of the octopus fishery and to ensure Kenya’s octopus is not only harvested in a sustainable manner, but also to increase economic revenues and jobs in order to contribute to the Blue Economy in Kenya.
